Author: nansamba jane matovu

Healing Blossom is a business project that deals in producing organic castor oil for human skin and hair and fertilizers from the residue of castor seeds. It is located along Sir Apollo Kaggwa road in Kampala district. Healing Blossom project owns 100 litres of organic castor and 2 acres of land. Healing Blossom is purposely in place to treat acne, ring warm infection and other skin conditions. In addition organic castor oil is a popular treatment for growing healthier and thicker hair when regularly used on your roots it can increase hair growth, reduce damage from products, hydrate hair and make your strands shinier and fuller hence preventing dry scalp and improving the overall health of your hair. I decided to come up with the project to meet the demands of the population since there is inconsistence in the quality of oil products produced by competitors and healing blossom oil is purely organic. Healing Blossom project will be undertaken using a capital of 2million that will cater for the requirements of the project. In addition EK poultry project is a partnership that is managed and controlled by healing blossom partners.

field attachment/internship at directorate of research and graduate training for the period of 6th june to 25th july 2019
Level: university
Type: reports
Subject: records and archives management
Author: wasswa edward muwonge

On June 6th, 2019, the intern started my field attachment from Directorate of Research and Graduate Training. The intern was placed in records department and was involved in activities like organizing files according to years graduation, courses and colleges, archiving of files in boxes, refilling of files that were off from the envelopes, classifying of files according to names, Retrieving of files, Disposing of unwanted records, Shelving of files among others and the intern learnt lessons like experience that is to say ability to work with minimum supervision, good team player personnel, reliable personnel with good inter personal ,time management and good communication skills. The intern faced some of the challenges and limitations like having repetitive work as it was undertaken over and over again, the heaps of files were heavy to carry, sorting out inactive records was difficult, inadequate equipment for instance files, being afraid to ask questions over and over again adjusting to firm’s working conditions and staff which could take time to start performing perfectly with limited supervision. Field attachment program is very fundamental to the student as it exposes him/her to the practical ambition of records keeping profession and an opportunity to grasp the art of applying theoretical knowledge to factual legal situations thus breeding a better records manager for the future generation. The intern strongly recommend that field attachment must be undertaken every end of an academic year, ensuring constant and consistent supervision by the academic supervisors for proper guidance, equating internship period as experience acquired to experience for eligibility to job opportunities and lastly the same recommendations be adopted by the university and be implemented.
