This report gives an account of my stay at Makerere University MTSIFA ARTISTS under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Francis Xavier Ifee, The internship training lasted 8 weeks starting from 19th June to 11th August 2023. The internship period of eight weeks was based on the following objectives; ➢ Providing an opportunity for students and academic staff to interact with the basics and fine Art drawing skills ➢ Appreciate field situations that will also generate information for curricular review and improvement. ➢ Enable the student to get hands-on experience in real-life situations as they are expected to employ after graduation. ➢ Provide an opportunity for students to apply the principles and techniques theoretically learnt into real-life problem-solving situations. ➢ Develop student understanding of work ethics, employment demands, responsibilities and opportunities. ➢ Enhance and strengthen linkages between Makerere University and various stakeholders. The internship report is to outline all the activities that I e xecuted during my time at Margaret trowel school of industrial and fine art for 6 weeks as well as forest art and fabrications for 2 weeks. In four chapters. Chapter 1 captures a brief introduction on my field report and the Agency of the department of vis ual communication design and multimedia as well as forest art and fabrications Buziga giving its background, profile , the nature of work , it’s vision, mission, goal and objectives. Included will be the gender organization, department and company structure and some of their clients Chapter 2 elaborates my duties and responsibilities at the Agency. My positions held at the organization, duties and responsibilities, relationship with my supervisors, team spirit, interests and challenges. Chapter 3 contains m y evaluation on the responsibilities I took up and accomplished, it also entails the new knowledge I acquired, the relatedness to my course, benefits challenges, readiness of the departments and preparation of the University. Chapter 4 states my conclusion, and recommendations to department of visual communication design and multimedia, forest art and fabrications and the university. It emphasizes the lessons learnt, challenges, conclusions and recommendations.

financial literacy and performance of smes in uganda: a case study kawempe division

This study investigated the effect of financial literacy on performance of SMES in Kawempe division. Specifically the study established the relationship between financial knowledge, financial behaviour and financial awareness and performance of SMES in Kawempe division. A cross-sectional study design was employed, utilizing a mixed approach. The study used a triangulation of qualitative and quantitative approaches. A sample of 169 respondents participated in the study. Data was collected using questionnaires from traders in the CBD of Kampala city. Results show that financial knowledge had a significant effect on performance of SMEs (p =.004<.05) and so was financial awareness at (p =.004<.05). The most significant was financial awareness (p =.000<.05). Generally, financial literacy was found to have a significant effect on performance of SMEs of 33.6 percent. The study found that SME owners' confidence in their financial knowledge positively impacts their business performance. The study showed that SME owners' ability to interpret and analyze financial statements effectively contributes to more proactive financial management. The study revealed that financial behaviour plays a crucial role in financial literacy and influences SME performance. SME owners' commitment to maintaining accurate financial records, regular expense monitoring, adherence to budgetary constraints, and active cash flow management positively impact their financial performance. The study highlighted the need for increased awareness of financial support programs among SME owners. Policymakers, financial institutions, and industry associations should prioritize the promotion of financial education and training programs for SME owners. More so, efforts should be made to enhance the dissemination of information about various financing options and support schemes. Financial institutions, industry experts, and market analysts can collaborate to provide SMEs with access to market intelligence, economic forecasts, and industry trends

This report contains both practical and theoretical information that I acquired during the period of my industrial training at Netprac Uganda located at Zainab Aziza Emporium This report highlights the activities tasks and assignments that the intern was assigned during her internship period at Netprac Uganda. This was four a period of two months and the internship was intended to expose the intern to practical applications, knowledge and skills in the field of IT. During that period of two months, the intern was able to engage herself in different activities as described in different sections below; Section one Introduces Netprac Uganda and different learning programs offer ed by the company. It also contains the company’s mission, vision, and location. It further contains the background of the field attachment and Objectives of the field attachment Section two comprises of the duties and roles that were assigned to the inte rn, it also illustrates the roles of the field work super plus the role of the university supervisor. It further shows the intern’s personal contributions to the Company as far as its progress is concerned and finally the challenges that were faced by the intern and solutions to those challenges Section three breaks down all the selected case studies that the student intern learnt at Netprac Uganda and these included, IP addressing. Installation of windows software, Computer hardware, Structured Networking; to mention but a few Section four elaborates the new knowledge and skills that the intern obtained from Netprac Uganda plus the relevance of the work programs in the working fields. It also shows how the intern intend s to utilize the new skill s and knowledge acquired from the internship period Section five finally shows the full assessment of the Field work assessment, the adequacy of the university in preparing students for the field work attachment. It also contains the recommendations for improvement and finally the conclusion of the field work attachment.

This report presents the internship activities carried out for 8 weeks at Integrated Disabled Women Activities in Iganga district. This report presents 4 chapters. Chapter one: this chapter entails the introduction giving a general over view about the fieldwork, background of the field attachment, the objectives of the field attachment as well as the background and structure of the organization. It also presents the organizational culture, its gender composition and its structure. Chapter two: presents the main activities done during the internship period as well as the activities of the organization, that analysis of the field work findings and roles and duties I performed at IDIWA. It also emphases the supervision levels and relationship with the supervisor, work team and its composition, interests, challenges and how they were managed. Chapter three: contains my experiences in the field, level of accomplishment of the tasks assigned, the skills acquired giving an evaluation on the field attachment. It presents the most interesting experiences and the relatedness of the university taught theory work to the work in the field, the challenges faced and how they were managed Chapter four: presents the conclusions, recommendations to the university, organization and future interns.
