encyclopedia of communication theory
Level: university
Type: text books
Subject: communication skills
Author: stephen w. littlejohn
Communication students frequently approach librarians seeking a source that will provide a ready summary of a particular theory or tradition. Communication scholars also occasionally need a good central reference for their teaching and research. This encyclopedia provides a one-stop source for theories and theoretical concepts and a relatively comprehensive overview of the entire field of communication theory. It is a significant resource because it summarizes in one place the diversity of theory in the communication field. Yet unlike larger topical encyclopedias that try to cover all topics in many volumes, this is a relatively small set focused just on theory. It will provide an excellent starting place for individuals seeking information on the various topics covered. Furthermore, readers will be able to see how topics relate to one another, get a sense of larger traditions and histories, and find a variety of bibliographical sources with which they can begin to expand their reading lists.

This reporting acknowledges, expresses and confirms various activities done, skills and experience gained during my internship at Boosted Technologies where I trained for a period of 8 weeks from 20th June 2023 to 18th August 2023. The purpose of the training was to provide me with an opportunity to develop and apply the skills, theories and the concept learned in class and how to work and behave in the real working environment through the basics, knowledge and recommended IT personnel skills. I acquired various skills required in an IT environment such as Systems Development, Website Development, Virtualization which has upgraded my knowledge in the field of IT. In my conclusion I believe that field attachment experience is one of the greatest inventions that is super important to the students in institutions because participating in field attachment exercise can be a great way to get a taste of the actual professional experience in a particular field before you commit yourself to it fully. Besides getting a fool in the door with a potential employer and looking good o resume. Internship has other advantages such as the opportunity to „test drive‟ a career and exposed to a lot of experience. I won‟t stop to thank all the people that have supported me during this field attachment exercise and the more thanks to the college of computing and information science during this program.
