The study aimed at developing an electronic resources utilization guide during the Covid-19 Pandemic era at Hamu Mukasa Library, Uganda Christian University. The study objectives were to identify electronic resources databases in Hamu Mukasa Library, establish the relevance of the electronic resources databases used during the Covid-19 Pandemic era at Hamu Mukasa Library, examine the factors influencing the utilization of electronic resources databases during the Covid-19 Pandemic era; identify challenges experienced during the utilization of electronic resources databases ; and to propose an electronic resource utilization guide at Hamu Mukasa Library. It was a mixed method that employed a case study research design. The target population comprised of students, librarians, and teaching staff, totaling to 125 respondents. These respondents were purposively and simple randomly selected. Data was collected by use of questionnaire, focus group discussion .Findings of the research revealed that Google scholar, RESEARCH 4 LIFE, and AGORA are the major electronic resources databases used in Hamu Mukasa Library. The study also revealed that allowing access and retrieval of relevant articles, facilitating access to physically challenged persons, allowing remote access from anywhere at any time; providing hyperlinks to related additional resources; and enabling stimulus access to a large number of users are the major relevance of the electronic resources databases used during the Covid-19 Pandemic era at Hamu Mukasa Library. The study further revealed that readiness to adapt to change, availability of computers and ICT, availability of internet access, management support and awareness of the electronic databases available in the library were the major factors influencing the utilization of electronic resources databases at Hamu Mukasa Library. The study also revealed that network break-ups, poor IT infrastructure, password recovery error, the challenges related to internet connectivity, and less knowledge on the ICT skills limits the utilization of electronic resources databases at Hamu Mukasa Library. Basing on the above, it is concluded that there was increasing electronic resources utilization during the Covid-19 Pandemic era at Hamu Mukasa Library. The study recommended improving IT infrastructure; equipping skills and knowledge to library staff; and users have improved internet connectivity improvement and extensive training and publicity to improve the electronic resources utilization at Hamu Mukasa Library, and areas of further research were suggested.

The aim of the study was to examine the effects of divorce on the social psychological development of the children. The objectives of the study were to; find out the causes of divorce in Goma town, find out the effects of divorce to the social physiological development of the children in Goma town, and find out ways of reducing effects of divorce on the social physiological development of the children in Goma town. The researcher used qualitative approach using cross sectional study design, the qualitative approach promotes great understanding of not just the way things are but also why they are the way they are. The study was carried out in Goma town in the Republic of Congo. The study population included the selected children who are affected by divorces, and parents in Goma town. The number of children affected by divorce and parents was got from sampling different respondents. The sample size was 53 respondents. The study used simple random sampling where individuals were randomly sampled from the target population. A survey was carried out and the data collection techniques that was used, included the following; face-to-face interview, key informants interview, survey and observations. According to the study, 32.08% of the respondent argued that misunderstanding was the highest caused of divorce in Goma Town. 65.5% of the respondents did believed that to poverty have effect on the social physical development of children and 32.08% of the respondents in their response did agreed that Government should come with the law to protect children in case of divorce as well as coming up with remedies to carve the cause and the effect of divorce on the social physical development of the children. The researcher therefore recommends that, the best way to address the cause of the divorce is by applying the church teaching on divorce, Government and child advocators approach as well as the community. The researcher therefore recommends that, church teaching, Government and child advocacy as well as the community leaders will be the best intervention for these. The researcher also recommends that, there is need for all these identified approach to be accepted as well as implemented.

The study sought to investigate the influence of teacher‟s competence on academic performance among pupils with learning disabilities. Objectives includes the cause of teacher‟s competence, effects and measures to improve on academic performance among pupils with learning disabilities in inclusive primary schools in Wakiso district Uganda. A cross-sectional descriptive survey was used to select pupils and teachers. Researcher used 100 target population to generalize the study. Simple random sampling was used to select the sample schools. Slovene‟s formula was used to get the sample size of 80 people. Structured questionnaires for head teachers/teachers and pupils contained both open and closed ended questions used to collect uniform information. Both qualitative and quantitative techniques were used to collect data. 23% of head teachers/teachers were on view that, assessment was vital to improve academic performance among pupils with LDs. 20% of the respondents gave their view that IEP contributed to better performance. The researcher recommended that, all teachers in inclusive primary schools should be trained in Special Needs. The Ministry of Education should therefore organize for pre-service and in-service training courses and adapt the inclusive school curriculum to enhance learning for pupils with learning disabilities.
