The purpose of the study was to assess the effects of social media on the performance of employees at Future Link Technologies in Kampala central division in central part of Uganda. Social media in Africa has played a key important role among the employees which makes the work much more easier for example most employees are creative, innovated through the use of social media for example creation of different ideas and business marketing is done through using different social media platforms like Facebook, twitter, whatsapp, tiktok and other social media platforms which are very useful in any organization. Therefore in Uganda, most employees are using social media through sharing information to different people concerning the work activities, creation of new ideas, sending and texting of messages, because it is flexible for everyone. The research study was primarily aimed at assessing the effects of social media on the performance of employees. A Case study at Future Link Technologies in Kampala central division in central part of Uganda. The research study was based on various objectives; (i)To determine the different social media platforms used by the employees at Future Link Technologies (ii) To establish the relationship between social media and performance of the employees at Future Link Technologies. (iii) To find out the potential challenges and solutions associated with employees using social media at Future Link technologies. The study further sought to establish more information about the background of social media on the performance of employees before the introduction new programs on the way how social media can be utilized well and to use it very well. Questionnaires and interviews were used in collecting primary data which was later presented in a tabular form. Chi-square analysis was used in finding out the relationship between the study variables and the decisions were based on the chi square values obtained from SPSS.Qualitative analysis was used in explaining the different study findings and conclusions were later drawn based on the findings.

This dissertation assessed the effects of Divorce on Christian children Social behaviors a case study in Yambio County and also library research too. It majorly composed of targeting the Government authority, Church leaders‟ elders, local community leaders and NGOs who represented the entire population. The findings of this study revealed according to the objective one that, the causes of Divorce, government authority are not exercise its policies‟ and Law measures to restrict by not allow illegal/legal divorce certificate or demand a lot and charges in order to discourage divorces among marriage people in the community. The challenge the researcher found on ground was government authority are the very one assuring legal divorce certificate this motivate couples not value marriage union, Church leaders are not active in rebuilding their Christians with deepest understanding enough of biblical respond for important marriage union to the will of God and how God hate divorce for marriage couple with all this most of people doesn‟t have strong foundation for the purpose of marriage, Churches leaders, government leaders, Community leaders and NGOs are not coordinating among themselves to do more research and come up with good strategical policy that will minimize high rate of divorce in Yambio. According to the objective two of this study it finds that, the effects of divorce on children social behaviors, leads to psychological behaviors, Education problems, Emotional Trauma and prone to social behavior problems, this come as result of parents divorce lack of trustworthiness in marriage and important of children life, the study suggests measures to be taken to improve on Cause and effects of divorce on children social behaviors, Church leaders should imitate Christ‟s model of marriage union, government should restrict law, conditions and charge against any divorce to discourage habit of divorce, NGOs to rebuild more awareness and training to people on how children life‟s are important to God and nation. Hence it was so motivated that, the respondents were energetic as they expressed their concepts on cause and effects of divorce and this brings to one‟s mind that the children are going under chaotic life crisis, It finally recommends that, since divorce is a global problem, it is highly recommended that, parents are need to be sensitized, trained and modeled to be good parents to maintain hard life for children and this should continue to support future life of children so all parents should keep the marriage permanent and stable. This study recommends further study on various approaches to divorce children and as well as parents.

Malnutrition refers to deficiencies, excesses or imbalance in person’s intake of energy and nutrients. Malnutrition is a challenge in Uganda especially west Nile regions that is considered as a humanitarian setting hosting refugees from Congo and south sudan has the highest report of moderate acute malnutrition and severe acute malnutrion in the country at 10.4% and 5.6%.(UNAP) Contributing factors to malnutrion in Bweyale include land and crop degradation, droughts, poverty, limited access to basic food staples essential services, illnesses access to clean water and inadequate child feeding practices inadequate maternal care, luck of balance diet, alcohol consumption (UNICEF) The effects of malnutrition on the health of children under 5 years in Bweyale includes poor wound healing, sarcopenia, cachexia, organ failures like kidney and brain, reproduction failure weight loss and death, furthermore it indicates that malnutrition also affect children’s academic performance and attainment it also lowers resistance to infections and diseases and death throughout their lives the study suggest/ recommend various interventions to prevent malnutrition among children under five in Bweyale refugee camp that include breastfeeding in the first six month of life makes children healthier, and also breastfeeding in first hour of life is vital to the survival of children, solid foods and mother’s milk after six month of age also helps children or infants grow quickly and strong, good hygiene and clean hands keep young children healthy and strong, irons and vitamin A supplements and deworming is another intervention that helps prevent diseases and anemia, improve adolescent and girls nutrition is a key aspect in prevention of malnutrition in women and their children healthy eating, better nutrition and bringing girls health into focus is also an important aspect and also eradicating bad cultural perspectives on food is key and provision of economic activities to women at the refugee camp is key in prevention of malnutrition

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of inequality and other associated issues on poverty in Gurei Payam in South Sudan. The specific objectives were to: assess the factors which contributed to inequality; determine other factors which cause poverty and to find out the impact of inequality and other factors on poverty increase. The study adopted descriptive survey design which employed both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods was used. Both primary and secondary data was used and the data collection tool was questionnaires. A sample size of (196) respondents were recruited to participate in the study. According to the finding 85.2% agreed with lack of adequate investment; 81.6% of the respondents agreed that nepotism/tribalism is largely practices in South Sudan hence it has resulted to inequality; 76.5% agreed with discriminatory structures in the economic spheres; 74.5% agreed with gender balance and services in the community; 74.5% agreed with the difference is the distribution of natural resources; 61.2% agreed with education; and 67.9% agreed with lack of adequate investment to the communities‟ services and infrastructure; Basing on finding on the factors which cause poverty (91.3%) agreed that limited economic growth; 92.8% agreed with lack of accountability on public or government projects; 91.8%) agreed with political instability; (76.5%) agreed that increasing unemployment rates has resulted to poverty; (76.5%) agreed with corruption where public and private funds are embezzled and misused; and 73.5 % agreed that limited access to water and sanitation. Lastly under the impact of inequality and other factors on poverty increase, 91.3% agreed that inequality domestic policies on taxation and finance may arise levels of poverty mean; 85.2% agreed that inequality in the economic spheres can leads to discrimination hence reduced standards due to poverty; 85.2% agreed that income inequality can lead to poverty; 76.5% agreed with roles of technological change and globalization inequality in driving poverty; 78.6% agreed with the statement that the difference is the distribution of natural resources is also another factor which leads to poverty. It can be concluded that to inequality in Gurei Payam in South Sudan is contributed by the above factors. finding it can be concluded that limited economic growth, lack opportunities for production, high rates of unemployment, limited access to water and sanitation, lack of accountability, vulnerability/political instability, corruption are the major factors which cause poverty in Gurei Payam in South Sudan. Government of South Sudan should move income to wealth or inheritance taxes; and policies to reduce unemployment should be developed.

The study used both qualitative approach and quantitative approach, the study employed descriptive survey design. Descriptive survey is characterized by describing data on variable of interest and it is useful for gathering factual information, data on attitudes and preferences, belief and predictions, behavior and experiences-both past and present. This chapter mainly focuses on the effect of domestic violence, contribution of harmful cultural practices and finally the effect of Social and economic violence on girl child education in Kapchorwa Municipality. The targeted population for this study included the following category of the sample gender based violence department at Uganda police, Action Aid Uganda and Kapchorwa Civil society Organization Alliance REACH, Reproductive health, Gamatui girl’s secondary school teachers and students, Sebei college tegeres.Recommendations to solving this problem might be enhancing woman education. If a woman is well educated and independent then she will be aware of all the laws against domestic violence and take proper action when someone tries to domestically violate her.
the effect of incentives on employee performance in the public sector: a case study of uganda civil aviation authority (caa)

This study focused on establishing the effect of incentives on employee performance in CAA with the objectives of identifying the types of incentives offered to CAA employees, examining the relationship between incentives and employee performance in CAA, and examining other factors that have an effect on employee performance in CAA. Both secondary and primary data were used. The analysis was carried out using tables and frequencies. The researcher was guided by the following data collection methods; a self-administered questionnaire, interview guide, review of secondary data and focus group discussion. The results on the types of incentives available to employees of CAA indicated that there are mainly seven types of incentives offered to CAA employees. These incentives include: salary, housing, overtime, transport, mileage, paid annual leave and study leave. Furthermore, results on the relationship between employee performance and incentives indicated that there is consensus amongst technical staff, technicians and support staff on all issues concerning incentives and performance. Results revealed that there are other factors that have an effect on employee performance other than incentives and these include job satisfaction, loss of control over work, no clear goals from management, assigned creativity goals, supervisory support and job characteristics. The conclusion of the study was that in CAA, the types of incentives offered to employees are seven. There is a positive relationship between incentives and employee performance. Job satisfaction, loss of control over work, no clear goals from management, assigned creativity goals, supervisory support and job characteristics were other factors affecting employee performance other than incentives. The study recommended that employees should be accorded all incentives that are provided for in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, there is need for continuous and regular provision of incentives to improve performance and productivity for all categories of staff, and that other factors such as job satisfaction, loss of control over work, no clear goals from management, assigned creativity goals, supervisory support and job characteristics need to be taken into consideration for enhanced employee performance in CAA.
