Edible oil is an essential element for day to day consumption in almost all forms of daily meal both in the rural and urban areas used for various roles such as cooking and medicinal purposes. Currently the majority of refined edible oil products are imported while a few proportion are being supplied by local producers, yet the demand has not yet been fully satisfied. This Mission Practicum is about Missions in our local church. It is based on fulfilling the Great Commission where the Lord sent us in Mark 16:15 to “Go ye all over the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.” The writer’s church has got a Missions department where he is part as a Director of Missions and evangelism. In this department they have training of leaders, pastors, and missioners. They also have Church planting as part of the program. In this outreach he has been going with a team of young people to help but with an intention of introducing them to this calling and training. It was, it has been and is a joy to see them also planning their small missions of two’s or three’s to win some one to the Lord! In this program, since the beginning of this internship, he has been carrying out evangelism by open air crusades, Radio broadcast, door to door, placard evangelism, and tract distribution. The visible outcome was the planting of some churches in Mithi Ibiri, Mailokumi, Kinebwa, Kimango, Kibuga in Kasese District, Buhembe in Kazo and Kantanda in Rwampara Districts whereby 171 persons have come to the Lord as per the photographs attached. Every day he has been devoting 5 hours 4 days a week to this outreach. After the delivery of the Word, they have a session of prayer with the new converts and also the sick and those with problems. The last part of the day would be crowned by a Jesus Film where they could gather even more people than those we have on crusades during the day. By the way he has come to fall in love with the audio-visual ministry whereby people hear and see what you are talking about live in the movie. They have gotten more confessions of Christ through this Jesus Film.
