The general objective of the study was to examine the effect of organizational culture on innovation in Public Sector organizations with specific reference to National Water and Sewerage Corporation. The study was to be guided by the following objectives: To determine how strategic direction affects innovation in NWSC; To examine how organizational structure affects innovation in NWSC; To examine the influence of management support on innovation in NWSC and To determine the influence of communication on innovation in NWSC. A correlation research design was used. The study predominantly employed a quantitative approach but also use a qualitative approach. The study population consisted of 60 participants. A sample size of 54 employees was selected. A simple random technique was used for all the respondents except for the senior management who were selected purposively. Quantitative data analysis mainly consisted of descriptive statistics (percentages) and inferential statistics (Spearman correlation, coefficient of determination and regression). Content analysis was used to analyze qualitative data. Findings revealed an insignificant negative effect of strategic direction (7.8%) and management support (20.2%) on innovation in NWSC. However, organizational structure and communication type had a significant positive effect (81.6% and 56.2% respectively) on innovation. It concluded that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on innovation. It is recommended that NWSC should improve on its management support practices and strategic direction so as its level of innovation can improve sustainably.
