INTERNSHIP REPORT CONDUCTED AT KAYUNGA DISTRICT LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Brief information about KYDLG Kayunga was curved out of Mukono District as well as granted a District status by the parliament of Uganda on 1st December ,2000 and fully became operational in January 2001. It’s located approximately 74km east of Kampala city, bordered by Mukono in the south, Jinja and Buikwe to the east, Kamuli in the north eastern, Amolator & Apac in the north, Luweero in the west and Nakasongola in the north western with approximately a coverage area of 1810 sq.km. Internship objectives.  Interpersonal and computer skills,  Report writing skills and the problem-solving skills  Developing my analytical skills while execution of assigned duties Activities carried out  Oriented on the Integrated Financial Management system.  Recorded the Electronic Transfer Fund numbers of the contracted suppliers.  Printed out the different payment vouchers of the suppliers.  Entering of the local purchase orders from the procurement office.  Entering the bank statement in the system.  Generation of receipts. Summary of acquired skills  Familiarized with the Integrated Financial Management System.  Learnt how to prepare printed payment vouchers of the contracted suppliers.  Learnt to prepare General receipts for bidders.  Learnt how to update the asset register.  Relating with clients especially that come for consultation at the district.  Developed my computer skills especially with the IFMS.
