FIELD ATTACHMENT REPORT CARITAS-KOTIDO DIOCESE ABIM FIELD OFFICE

This report is about field attachment which was carried out in Caritas-Kotido Diocese church organization from 13th October to 19th November 2021 The report covers the period of six weeks of field activities which included orientation, office work, documentation, field visits, monitoring groups benefiting from the projects being implemented, Training the sub-county officials of disasters management in their areas, Monitoring projects, follow up activities of the projects, conducting home visits of beneficiaries, conducting interviews with individuals and households, Dialogue meetings and writing internship report. During field work activities many issues emerged and these were needs, interest, opportunities and expectations of the community members as well as beneficiaries, team work spirit, involvement of community members in community activities, Long distance, Harsh climate, Hostility, Insecurity, monitoring community driven projects, recording cases, office work, counseling, Dialogue and interviewing Chapter four presents’ recommendations directed to the Community of Adult and Community Education and Government of Uganda. I therefore learnt that the involvement of community members, beneficiaries and stakeholders in the planning process,implementation,monitoring and evaluation and maintenance of community projects used by NGO’s and as essential in delivery services out of local knowledge and I also learnt that practical application and demonstration of theoretical work done in classroom setting needs to be planned accordingly to be easy to execute duties in the field through careful reflection before implementing the programs intended to be done.
