This report sets out to analyze the efficacy of the Pre- Export Verification of Conformity to Standards. For purposes of achieving this goal, the research report has assessed the nature and scope of the Pre-Export verification conformity program, it has examined the legal institutional framework governing the Pre-Export conformity program and the challenges that the Government has faced in implementing the Verification program. Furthermore, for this research, the researcher used the doctrinal analytical research design to explain the impact of the Pre-export verification Conformity Program. Lastly the researcher when conducting her research concluded that even with the introduction of the Verification program there are still substandard goods and poor quality goods floating on the market but the Government through Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is fighting to curb the vice at all costs. The report recommends an enactment of comprehensive consumer protection legislation that provides for the Pre-Export Verification Conformity Standards
