The student began the project work with drafting of the work plan with the guidance from the supervisor which started on the 30th, October, 2018 and completed on 09th, November, 2018. The training was done at the department of science, technical and vocation studies building which required to change all the wooden windows to metallic ones. The student was trained under the supervision of one supervisor and that is to say institution su-pervisor. During the training, the student acquired practical knowledge, skills and experience particularly in planning, designing, measuring, welding, fitting work and safety precautions at the workshop. The student acquired practical knowledge in real life situation of work, planning skills, measur-ing skills, welding skills, socialization skills, team work to mention but a few. This ultimately enhanced my professional development as a person. The student came to understand team work is the back bone of effective communication in a workshop. However the student also faced few challenges while at training. The problem of inability to access some of machines to work, inadequate materials to complete the work all this limited the student to fully acquire new knowledge The report further represents the conclusion and recommendations. The conclusion has the strength and weaknesses of the student in details and recommendations showing how the weak-nesses can be over came for the benefit of the institution and the student.

Some of the objectives of this case study report are shown below; • To document actual decisions and situations faced by farms, groups, individuals and therefore familiarize the student with empirical decision rules, guidelines and procedures used in practice. • Enable students to make an inventory of farm and community resources. • To enable students interpret farm financial statements better. • To equip students with skills and knowledge for farm planning, budgeting and farm re-organization. • To enable students and communities/ farming and agribusiness and industrial sectors appreciate the value and use of farm records for analysis. • To prepare students for future scientific agricultural research e.g. research projects in agricultural forestry, agro-industrial development and agribusiness.

This paper discusses results of a study which aimed to explore the knowledge and use of Web 2.0 technologies by LIS academics in Makerere University, Uganda. The purpose of the study was to appreciate the role that ICTs, specifically web 2.0 technologies can play in LIS education. It was based on the author‟s experience, current literature review and findings collected from an online survey conducted among some LIS educators at the East African School of Library and Information Science. The paper concludes with strategies on how web 2.0 technologies can be integrated in LIS education in order to ensure that LIS educators can benefit from ICTs and thus improve on knowledge transfer and service delivery. The recess term started on 26th June 2017 and ended on 12th August 2017. The recess period introduced us as students to surveying as a profession. The different instruments that are employed in surveying work and also the fieldwork a surveyor does while out on various projects. As a student undertaking Land surveying and Geomatics, I was a fully-fledged participant in all the modules for this recess term. During this recess term, I undertook numerous practicals that form the basis for a surveyor’s manual. The modules which were done in the recess term included; 1. Introduction to survey equipments Under this model we had to acquaint ourselves with both the angular and distance measurement equipments. The following survey equipment and instruments were introduced theodolites both Optical and Electronic, automatic levels, leveling staff, Tripods, Ranging rods, Steel tapes, Nails and many others. 2. Engineering surveying Two peg test Leveling Longitudinal and cross sections Drawing of contour maps Earthwork computations. Curve ranging. 3. Cadastral surveying Traversing Resection Intersection. Setting out a plot of land Opening up of boundaries Plot subdivision. 4. Topographic surveying Extending horizontal control Extending vertical control Use of tachometry to obtain data and use it to draw a topographic map 5. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Open Street Mapping (OSM) Digitizing of satellite images Attaching attributes to digitized parts of the map Uploading digitized maps to open map layers like Open street Map 6. Geomatics Application Development Developing map layers using an online platform.
